The Jungle Book trailer promises thrills and action for the new Disney movie

The Jungle Book movie was first release in 1967, the cartoon version of Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book has long been the standard by which fans have known the classic tale.

Disney's new version, however, gives a very different look at Mowgli's adventures amongst the animals of India.

On Tuesday, the first trailer for this new Jungle Book was released, teasing everything from daring escapes to a Scarlett Johansson-voiced snake.

The Jungle Book is an upcoming American 3D live-animation adventure fantasy film directed by Jon Favreau, written by Justin Marks, and produced by Walt Disney Pictures. It is a CGI-live-action remake of the 1967 animated film of the same name. The film stars Neel Sethi as Mowgli with the voices of Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Idris Elba, Jamie Dornan, Lupita Nyong'o, Scarlett Johansson and Christopher Walken. The film is scheduled to be released in Disney Digital 3D, RealD 3D and IMAX 3D on April 15, 2016.
